I rebuilt my own relationship with money first.

Fifteen years ago, I was spending my last few dollars on beers at a dive bar in New York City. One Tuesday, I decided I was done. Not a Monday, not January 1st, not a planned fresh start. Just an ordinary Tuesday, mid-week, with no ceremony. I quit drinking, and started putting $15 toward savings every day, the same amount I used to spend on alcohol. I needed quitting to mean something, and that small, consistent number became proof that I could choose differently than I had the day before.

Since then, I've built a different life. I own rental property, earned my MBA, and built my career working at one of the largest financial institutions in the world.

You don’t need a Monday to start. You need $15.
